The AI guesses first. You correct it in one sentence.
Send a meal and it comes back split into foods, each with grams and calories. When it reads something wrong — the oil it could not see, the portion it called average — you type what was different, and the whole dish is counted again.
One meal, two sentences, 295 kcal
This is a recorded exchange with the app, not a mock-up: a meal described in words, then corrected twice. Tap any line to see the dish exactly as it stood after that message.
Grilled Chicken Thigh with White Rice and Steamed Broccoli
The AI’s first answer, before any correction.
Watch the protein across the first correction: it goes down, from 45.4 to 42.4 g. Swapping a skinless thigh for a skin-on one adds fat and takes away meat, and that is not the direction anyone would guess while editing a number by hand.
Three things it cannot see, and one box that fixes them
Every first answer carries assumptions, because a photo and a sentence both leave things out. The example above shows all three of the usual ones.
- The fat in the pan. A tablespoon of oil is 119 kcal and nothing on the plate shows it. Until I said so, it was not in the list at all.
- How big your portion is. It put the rice at 150 g — a normal serving. Mine was 250 g, and saying so moved the meal by 130 kcal.
- Which cut you had. Skin-on and fried is a different food from grilled and skinless: 46 kcal more, and 3 g less protein, for the same 150 g.
The box takes a sentence, not a form: tap Fix with AI, write what was different, tap Update. Corrections stack, so you can fix the cooking first and the portion second.
Questions about getting it right
How do I correct it?
Open the meal, tap Fix with AI and type what was different — "it was skin-on and fried in olive oil". The dish is recalculated and replaces the old one. You can also drag individual grams up and down by hand if that is all you need.
Can I correct the same meal twice?
Yes. Each correction applies on top of the dish as it stands, so you can fix the cooking method first and the portion second, as in the example above.
Does it weigh my food?
No. Nothing weighs anything — the first answer is an estimate from what you sent, and the grams are the model’s best guess. That is exactly why the correction box exists, and why every weight stays editable afterwards.
Can a correction add something the AI missed?
Yes. In the example on this page the olive oil was not in the first answer at all; one sentence added it as its own line with its own 119 kcal. Corrections can also take a food out: saying you did not eat the broccoli removed it and dropped the meal from 837 to 802 kcal.
What can I send it in the first place?
A photo, a typed line, or a voice note. All three go through the same analysis and come back as the same kind of list.
Does it answer in English?
It answers in the language of your account, so an English account gets English food names and an English dish title.
